Skiing, Snowboarding, Cross Country and Snowshoeing
The Les Gets-Morzine ski area features more than 130 km of piste across 68 runs – 9 black, 29 red, 24 blue and 6 green. These are serviced by 52 lifts – 2 cable cars, 3 gondolas, 22 chairlifts and 25 ski lifts.
The resort’s low altitude and high number of blue and red runs makes it excellent for beginner and intermediate skiers.
For those looking for an alternative route, the resort offers dozens of cross country and snowshoe circuits which will take you through through snow covered forests and some of the region’s most breathtaking views.
If that’s not enough for you, Les Gets-Morzine has a direct connection to the famous Portes du Soleil, one of the two largest ski areas in the world. This opens up more than 650kms of marked slopes, as well as an abundance of off-piste and cross country trails. A true voyage on skis!
Spring and Summer Activities
Unlike many higher resorts, Les Gets offers fantastic activities all year round. In summer you can play golf on the 18-hole course facing Mont Blanc, swim in the nearby lake, or cycle one of the resort’s World Champion bike paths.
With temperatures averaging 25°C, Les Gets is the perfect summer holiday destination for an active family.
The area is well known as mountain biker’s paradise. Portes du Soleil features 580km of signposted routes of which 180km are in Les Gets, and eight permanent downhill faces, two in Les Gets. More than twenty lifts, including three in Les Gets, are equipped to transport bikes and remain open all summer.
Drive off Les Gets’ 18-hole golf course beneath an incredible vista of Mont Blanc itself. This pristine course spans 5264 metres, with 12 motorised buggies, clubhouse and restaurant. Open from June to October, it’s ideal for both experienced golfers and beginners.
Hiking & Climbing
The area boasts routes suitable for everyone from beginners to experts, with experienced guides and instructors provided by a number of local agencies.
Thanks to the calm mountain air, both Les Gets and Morzine are popular paragliding destinations. A range of companies in the area offer everything from taster flights to week-long courses.
Why not cool off at the Leisure Park located five minutes drive from Chalet Frollie. The lake is open for swimming in June until September, with a water slide, playground and beach Volley Ball court.
Experience the ‘Aventure Parc’, and test your ability of 86 games over four different circuits of ever-increasing difficulty.
If none of that takes your fancy, there’s always walking, canyoning, rafting, bungee jumping, pot holing, tennis and fishing.
